Promotion

To welcome you to GoCardless, we are giving you 90 days without transaction fees (the “Promotion”)! You will not be charged any GoCardless transaction fees for transactions successfully collected by GoCardless during the Promotion Period*.

*Up to a total transaction volume limit for the region you are located in:

United States: $75,000 USD
United Kingdom: £50,000 GBP
Eurozone: €70,000
Australia and New Zealand: $45,000 AUD/NZD
Canada: $80,000 CAD
Denmark: 400,000 DKK
Sweden: 600,000 SEK

How to Qualify

To qualify for the Promotion, you must be an Eligible Merchant.

Eligible Merchants

Eligible Merchants, as further described in the detailed terms and conditions below, are new, self serve customers who sign up for a GoCardless account via the GoCardless website or via a partner integration, not including: Sage, QuickBooks, Salesforce, TeamUp, Recurly, Chargify, Asperato, Xero and Astral.

Promotion Period

Starts when you sign up for a GoCardless account and automatically ends at 23.59 GMT on the 90th day after that.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read the following terms and conditions before you participate in the GoCardless Fee Free Promotion (“the Promotion”). The following Terms and Conditions will apply. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions you must not participate in the Promotion.

PROMOTER

1.1. The Promoter of the Promotion is GoCardless Limited registered in England and Wales under company number 07495895 and whose registered office address is Sutton Yard, 65 Goswell Road, London, EC1V 7EN, United Kingdom (referred to as “GoCardless”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

THE PROMOTION; ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Participation in the Promotion is limited to Eligible Merchants. An Eligible Merchant is a GoCardless customer that:

Is a registered business entity;
Has never signed up for a GoCardless account before;
Has not processed a payment via GoCardless before;
Signs up as a self serve customer
Signs up via the GoCardless website or via a partner integration, not including: Sage, Salesforce, Xero, TeamUp, Recurly, Chargify, Asperato, and Astral.

(“Eligible Merchants”)

START AND END DATES

3.1. The promotion period commences when an Eligible Merchant signs up for a GoCardless account (“Start Date”) and automatically ends at 23.59 GMT on the 90th day after the Start Date (“Promotion Period”).

3.2 GoCardless’ normal transaction fees will automatically apply after the Promotion Period. This means that if a transaction is created by an Eligible Merchant during the Promotion Period, but not successfully collected by GoCardless until after the Promotion Period, transaction fees will apply. THE PROMOTION

4.1. Eligible Merchants will benefit from fee free transactions successfully collected in the 90 days after signing up for a new GoCardless self-service account. This means that Eligible Merchants will not be charged any GoCardless transaction fees for transactions successfully collected by GoCardless during the Promotion Period.

4.2 Eligible Merchants must sign up for a GoCardless account to opt into the Promotion.

4.3 The Promotion is subject to a total transaction volume limit for the region the Eligible Merchant is located in, as outlined below:

United States: $75,000 USD
United Kingdom: £50,000 GBP
Eurozone: €70,000
Australia and New Zealand: $45,000 AUD/NZD
Canada: $80,000 CAD
Denmark: 400,000 DKK
Sweden: 600,000 SEK

4.4 GoCardless’ reserves the right to apply normal transaction fees to every transaction that exceeds the transaction volume limits set out above.

4.5 Transaction fees means all fees payable by you to GoCardless for each transaction processed by GoCardless for you. Eligible Merchants in the United States, Germany and Austria will still be liable for Failure Fees and Chargeback Fees for unsuccessful transactions. Visit our pricing page for more information.

RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

5.1. Access to the internet is required in order to participate in this Promotion.

5.2. The Promotion is available to Eligible Merchants in all countries where GoCardless provides services to customers.

5.3. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or restrict the Promotion and these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.

5.4. The Promoter has the final decision as to whether or not a merchant meets the definition of Eligible Merchant.

FAIR USE

6.1. If the Promoter has reasonable grounds to believe that an Eligible Merchant has engaged in any fraud or abuse of this Promotion, we may at our sole discretion take any actions we see fit in such circumstances, including but not limited to cancelling, terminating, withdrawing, modifying, restricting or suspending the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions.

6.2. We reserve the right to charge any Eligible Merchant for any transaction fees incurred during the Promotion Period where we reasonably believe such Eligible Merchant acted fraudulently to qualify for the Promotion or otherwise acted in violation of these terms.

6.3. If any Eligible Merchant attempts to circumvent the terms of this Promotion, including by creating multiple GoCardless accounts, such Eligible Merchant’s participation in the Promotion will be suspended and their GoCardless account may be suspended or closed.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

7.1. The Promoter shall not be liable to any Eligible Merchant if they suffer any loss or damage from the Promotion (including without limitation any loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill that arises out of or in connection with the Promotion) or from the Promoter’s refusal to allow an Eligible Merchant to take part in the Promotion or our withdrawal of the Promotion or any other failure or inability by an Eligible Merchant to participate in or benefit from the Promotion for any reason. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the Promoter’s liability in respect of personal injury or death caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

7.2. The Promoter does not recommend or guarantee the performance of any contractual or other obligations of any third parties mentioned in these Terms and Conditions.

GENERAL

8.1. In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, withdraw, modify, restrict or suspend the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.

8.2. Eligible Merchants in the Promotion are deemed to have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

8.3. These Terms and Conditions (and any contractual or non-contractual disputes arising out of or in connection with them) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes relating or connected to these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
