Get AU$200 (or local currency equivalent as set out below) when you refer a new merchant that signs up to GoCardless and processes AU$4,000.00 (or local currency equivalent as set out below) in transactions, in more than one payment, within the first three (3) months of sign-up (the “Referral Reward”).
To enter the Promotion, you must be an Eligible Merchant that sends an invitation link to an Eligible Participant. The invitation link will be made available by GoCardless in the GoCardless merchant dashboard or via email. The Eligible Participant must then sign up to GoCardless via that invitation link (the “Registration Method”) during the Promotion Period and process Eligible Transactions to the value of the Qualifying Amount or more, in more than one payment, within the Qualification Period, subject to the terms and conditions below.
Eligible Merchants are existing GoCardless merchants that: - are registered in an Applicable Region; - have a verified GoCardless Account; - have a GoCardless Account in good standing; - have a self-serve GoCardless Account (and are not on a custom or sales-served plan); - have taken at least one payment through GoCardless before entering the Promotion; and - refer entrants that are prospective customers of GoCardless. - Eligibility is subject to approval by GoCardless.
Eligible Participants are prospective customers of GoCardless that: - are a registered entity located in the same Applicable Region as the Eligible Merchant that refers them; - have not processed a payment via GoCardless before; - are not in the same group of companies as an existing active customer of GoCardless; - are not, and none of their directors are, listed as a director or ultimate beneficial owner of an existing active customer of GoCardless; - are not a previous active customer of GoCardless; and - have not previously been in discussions or negotiations with GoCardless regarding the receipt of GoCardless services.
Applicable Region means the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Australia, or New Zealand. For the avoidance of doubt, any Eligible Participant located in a different Applicable Region to the Eligible Merchant referring them will be deemed an invalid entry to the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that do not comply with this requirement.
Eligible Transactions are transactions to the value of the Qualifying Amount or more, in more than one payment, processed through the Eligible Participant’s GoCardless Account before the end of the Qualification Period. If a transaction is created by an Eligible Participant during the Qualification Period but not collected by GoCardless until after the Qualification Period, this will not be classified as an Eligible Transaction.
The Promotion starts at 09:00 GMT on 17.06.2026 (the “Start Date”) and ends at 23:59 GMT on 16.06.2028 (the “End Date”) (the “Promotion Period”). Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will not be accepted and will be invalid, unless otherwise decided by GoCardless acting in its sole discretion.
The “Qualification Period” starts on the date the Eligible Participant signs up to GoCardless via the Registration Method and ends three (3) months after such date.
The Qualifying Amount is determined by the Applicable Region in which the Eligible Merchant and Eligible Participant are based, as set out in clause 2.4 below.
The “Validation Period” is a thirty (30) day period after the Eligible Participant has processed Eligible Transactions to the value of the Qualifying Amount or more, during or before the end of the Qualification Period, during which GoCardless will determine whether the terms of this Promotion have been met.
Eligible Merchants and Eligible Participants who meet the applicable Entry Requirements will be entitled to receive a Referral Reward and Merchant Reward respectively from the Promoter, in the amount set out in clause 4.1 below, with the value determined by the Applicable Region in which the Eligible Merchant and Eligible Participant are both based.
Eligible Merchants are required to choose the format of their Referral Reward, prior to generating their invitation link, from the following: - an Amazon gift voucher; or - money credited to the bank account held on file by GoCardless; or - a charity donation made by GoCardless on the Eligible Merchant’s behalf to a charity from a list curated by GoCardless. Eligible Participants will receive their Merchant Reward in the form of money credited to the bank account held on file by GoCardless.
Please read the following terms and conditions before you participate in the GoCardless Merchant Referral Programme (the “Promotion”). The following Terms and Conditions will apply. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions you must not participate in the Promotion. We recommend you print or store a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your reference throughout the Promotion.
1.1. The Promoter of the Promotion is GoCardless Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 07495895 and whose registered office address is Sutton Yard, 65 Goswell Road, London, EC1V 7EN, United Kingdom (referred to as “GoCardless”, “we”, “us”, “our”). 1.2. In order to be eligible to participate in the Promotion, both the Eligible Merchant and the Eligible Participant must be located in the same Applicable Region.
2.1. Nature of this Promotion. This Promotion is a sales promotion which is operated on a reward basis. The Referral Reward and Merchant Reward respectively is a reward that will be provided to every Eligible Merchant and every Eligible Participant who meets the applicable Entry Requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.
2.2. Participation in the Promotion is limited to Eligible Merchants and Eligible Participants. Eligible Merchants are existing GoCardless merchants that:
are registered in an Applicable Region;
have a verified GoCardless Account;
have a GoCardless Account in good standing;
have a self-serve GoCardless Account (and are not on a custom or sales-served plan);
have taken at least one payment through GoCardless before entering the Promotion; and
refer entrants that are prospective customers of the Promoter.
An Eligible Participant is a prospective customer that:
is a registered entity located in the same Applicable Region as the Eligible Merchant that refers them;
has not processed a payment via GoCardless before;
is not in the same group of companies as an existing active customer of GoCardless;
is not, and none of its directors are, listed as a director or ultimate beneficial owner of an existing active customer of GoCardless;
is not a previous active customer of GoCardless; and
has not previously been in discussions or negotiations with GoCardless regarding the receipt of GoCardless services.
Applicable Regions are the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. For the avoidance of doubt, any Eligible Participant located in a different Applicable Region to the Eligible Merchant referring them will be deemed an invalid entry to the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that do not comply with this requirement.
2.3. To enter the Promotion, Eligible Merchants must send an invitation link to Eligible Participants. The link will be made available by the Promoter in the GoCardless merchant dashboard or via email. Eligible Participants must sign up to GoCardless via that link (the “Registration Method”) and, within the Qualification Period:
complete the GoCardless account verification process and be approved, pursuant to the GoCardless General Terms and Conditions – self-serve (the “Agreement”) (https://gocardless.com/legal/merchants/); and
process transactions to the value of the Qualifying Amount or more, in more than one payment, through their GoCardless Account before the end of the Qualification Period (“Eligible Transactions”).
2.4. The Qualifying Amount is determined by the Applicable Region in which the Eligible Merchant and Eligible Participant are based, as set out in the table below:

2.5. For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Merchants must share their invitation link directly with the Eligible Participant, who must complete their account sign-up directly on that page. If the Eligible Participant receives a link from a third party and signs up to GoCardless as a result of the link received from the third party, the entry into the Promotion will not be valid.
2.6. If a transaction is created by an Eligible Participant during the Qualification Period but not collected by GoCardless until after the Qualification Period, this will not be classified as an Eligible Transaction.
2.7. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.
3.1. The Promotion starts at 09:00 GMT on 17.06.2026 (the “Start Date”) and ends at 23:59 GMT on 16.06.2028 (the “End Date”) (the “Promotion Period”). Eligible Merchants cannot enter the Promotion after the Promotion Period has ended.
3.2. The “Qualification Period” starts on the date upon which the Eligible Participant signs up to GoCardless via the Registration Method and ends three (3) months after such date.
3.3. Entries received before the Start Date, or after the End Date, will not be accepted and will be invalid unless otherwise decided by GoCardless acting in its sole discretion.
4.1. Each Eligible Merchant that invites an Eligible Participant who meets the Entry Requirements, will be entitled to receive a referral reward from the Promoter (the “Referral Reward”), and each Eligible Participant who meets the Entry Requirements, will be entitled to receive a reward from the Promoter (the “Merchant Reward”), in the amount set out below, with the value determined by the Applicable Region in which the Eligible Merchant and the Eligible Participant are both based:

4.2. Eligible Merchants are required to choose the format of their Referral Reward, prior to generating their invitation link, from the following:
an Amazon gift voucher; or
money credited to the bank account held on file by GoCardless; or
a charity donation made by GoCardless on the Eligible Merchant’s behalf to a charity from a list curated by GoCardless.
Eligible Participants will receive their Merchant Reward in the form of money credited to the bank account held on file by GoCardless.
4.3. Within the thirty (30) days after the Eligible Participant has processed Eligible Transactions to the value of the Qualifying Amount or more, during or before the end of the Qualification Period, GoCardless will determine whether the terms of this Promotion have been met (the “Validation Period”).
4.4. Following completion of the Validation Period, the Referral Reward and Merchant Reward respectively is due and payable by the Promoter to the Eligible Merchant and the Eligible Participant up to 30 days after the Validation Period. This will be paid according to the Eligible Merchant’s chosen Referral Reward format and to the Eligible Participant’s bank account held on file by GoCardless.
4.5. Eligible Merchants and Eligible Participants are liable for any tax consequences of the receipt of the Referral Reward and Merchant Reward respectively, and we accept no liability to Eligible Merchants or Eligible Participants in relation thereto.
4.6. The Referral Reward and Merchant Reward respectively will be payable in the local currency of the Applicable Region as set out in the table at clause 4.1 above.
5.1. Access to the internet is required in order to participate in this Promotion.
5.2. Eligible Merchants have no authority to enter into negotiations with, or enter into or conclude contracts with, Eligible Participants in relation to the supply of the Promoter’s services.
5.3. When referring GoCardless, Eligible Merchants agree that they will not:
enter into any compromise with Eligible Participants;
incur any obligation on the Promoter’s behalf;
give any warranty or guarantee in respect of the Promoter’s services without the Promoter’s prior consent;
use any promotional materials which are not supplied or approved by GoCardless;
make, receive or accept any secret income, profit or other benefit in connection with this Promotion, other than as expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions;
in any way be prohibited from receiving or accepting the Referral Reward, or the Merchant Reward in the case of Eligible Participants; or
do anything which would harm the reputation of the Promoter.
5.4. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, withdraw or restrict the Promotion and these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
5.5. The Promoter has the final decision as to whether or not entrants meet the definition of Eligible Merchant and Eligible Participant, and whether such Eligible Participant has met the definition of completing Eligible Transactions.
6.1. If the Promoter has reasonable grounds to believe that an Eligible Merchant or Eligible Participant has engaged in any fraud or abuse of this Promotion, we may at our sole discretion take any actions we see fit in such circumstances, including but not limited to cancelling, terminating, withdrawing, modifying, restricting or suspending the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions.
6.2. If any Eligible Merchant or Eligible Participant attempts to circumvent the terms of this Promotion, including by creating multiple GoCardless accounts, such participation in the Promotion will be suspended and their GoCardless account may be suspended or closed.
7.1. To the fullest extent permissible by law, the Promoter will not be liable to any Eligible Merchant or Eligible Participant for any loss or damage whatsoever (including, without limitation, any loss of profits, loss of revenue or loss of goodwill that arises out of or in connection with the Promotion) which is suffered or sustained as a result of participation in the Promotion or receipt of the Referral Reward and Merchant Reward respectively, or from the Promoter’s refusal to allow an Eligible Merchant or Eligible Participant to take part in the Promotion, or our withdrawal of the Promotion, or any other failure or inability by an Eligible Merchant or Eligible Participant to participate in or benefit from the Promotion for any reason.
7.2. The Promoter does not recommend or guarantee the performance of any contractual or other obligations of any third parties mentioned in these Terms and Conditions. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will limit the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or for fraud.
7.3. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Promoter’s liability under or in connection with the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions shall be limited to the retail price of the Referral Reward and Merchant Reward respectively in question.
8.1. In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, withdraw, modify, restrict or suspend the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
8.2. Eligible Merchants and Eligible Participants in the Promotion are deemed to have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
8.3. These Terms and Conditions (and any contractual or non-contractual disputes arising out of or in connection with them) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes relating or connected to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
