Using your Accountant Referral Link
Once you’ve completed the online process to become GoCardless Certified, you’ll be given your unique Accountant Referral Link. This link is the key to passing on your exclusive discount to your clients, when they sign up to GoCardless.
How does it work?
Your Accountant Referral Link is a URL that will take your client to the GoCardless website where they can create their GoCardless account.
It’s really important to remember that you have to use your Accountant Referral Link in order to pass on your exclusive discount. Clients that sign up to GoCardless any other way, unfortunately, won’t qualify for the discount.
You can use your link as many times as you like to refer multiple clients.
When do I get my Accountant Referral Link?
We'll email your Accountant Referral link to you within 2 days of you successfully completing your Certification.
What does it do?
This link allows us to keep track of your referrals and we might be back in touch with a surprise the more you help your clients getting paid on time, every time.
How can you best utilise your Accountant Referral Link?
Get linking
When you mention GoCardless in your emails to your clients, rather than linking to our home page, use your link instead. You can add it to your email signatures too. Why not use one of the ready made template emails in our Accountants Toolkit?
Make it part of your onboarding
Include GoCardless and your Referral Link in your onboarding pack of recommended apps that you advise new clients to use to when they start working with you.
Sign up in person
Keep your Referral Link handy for face to face meetings. Whilst you shouldn’t create an account on behalf of your client (as they will need to complete some verification checks themselves), you can sit with them to advise how to set one up.
Don’t overshare
We recommend you keep your Accountant Referral Link exclusive to your clients, rather than sharing it on your website or social media. You’ve invested time and effort in your GoCardless Certification and we want to be sure that allows you to offer something nobody else can.
